Codeanywhere acquires Codebender
Codeanywhere, a toolset provider for web development, announced its first acquisition this week. The company is acquiring Codebender, the Arduino playground. According to Codeanywhere, the acquisition will help accelerate its roadmap to introduce more developer tools that allow developers to develop anywhere, anytime and with anyone.

Codebender rises from the ashes
If you were sad that Codebender had bit the dust, cheer up. A site called codeanywhere has acquired the online Arduino development environment and brought it back to life.
In addition to the main Codebender site, the edu and blocks sites are also back on the air.

Codeanywhere, a cross platform cloud IDE for creating web apps and sites has acquired Codebender, another cloud IDE that enables users to develop for Arduino devices.
This is Codeanywhere’s first acquisition and financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
